What Can I Expect at the Chiropractor?
Visiting a chiropractor for the first time can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve ever heard some of the common myths about chiropractic care. To help relieve some of that pre-visit anxiety, we’ve taken the time to explain how chiropractic treatment works at Myshka Chiropractic so you will know what to expect during your first couple of visits. You’ll begin with two visits, and we’ve broken them down by each visit to give you an idea of what happens during each one.
Chiropractor Visit #1:
Your first visit to Myshka Chiropractic begins with a free pre-acceptance interview. This will give Dr. Myshka a chance to chat with you to get to know your concerns and what brought you in.
While you are talking with Dr. Myshka, the office staff will verify your insurance coverage with your insurance company. This is done in your best interest to be sure we provide the necessary care, and that there are no surprises for you.
Dr. Myshka will then work with you to decide if she can help you. If she cannot help you, she may give you other options to explore. If she can help, she will recommend a thorough evaluation, any exams or x-rays that may be needed. Finally, she will go over all out-of-pocket costs that you can expect. There are no surprises here! You will know exactly what is going to be done, you will know the cost, and you can decide what is best for you!
Chiropractor Visit #2:
On your second visit at Myshka Chiropractic, we will go over our findings. During this visit, Dr. Myshka will show you x-rays that may have been taken. She will advise you of treatment options available to you and what your total out-of-pocket cost will be for 4-8 weeks of chiropractic treatment.
Once again, you’ll know what to expect every step of the way. You will know exactly what is going to be done, you will know the cost, and you can decide what is best for you. If you decide chiropractic care is for you, your first adjustment will occur during this visit.
During the Chiropractic Care Process
Once you have a plan in place, you’ll undergo a series of adjustments or treatments provided by Dr. Myshka based on your individualized needs.
Approximately mid-way through chiropractic care:
Dr. Myshka will evaluate your progress to ensure your body is responding as anticipated. You and Dr. Myshka will go over the results of the mid-way evaluation. We do not rely on just the absence of pain; we rely on measurable improvements discovered during the evaluation.
